Raindrops

Rain is falling down
Rain is falling down (raise arms, flutter fingers to the ground)
Pitter-patter
Pitter-patter
Rain is falling down.
April Rain

Dance little raindrop (wiggle fingers)
Tap with tiny feet (tap feet)
The seeds will awaken (pretend to sleep and awake)
When they hear our beat (cup hand over ear)
Grow little seeds
And see the cloudy sky (point to sky)
Picture
Fun in the Rain
Sing to tune of "Deck the Halls"

Do you hear the pitter patter? Hear the little raindrops falling down.
Can you see the splashing water? All the little raindrops on the ground.
Time to get our big umbrellas, we don't want to get our hair all wet.
If you wear your boots and raincoat, we will go outside and splash a bit!
Raindrops

Pitter-patter raindrops (wiggle fingers to imitate falling rain)
Falling from the sky.
Here is my umbrella, (hands over head)
To keep me safe and dry.
When the rain is over
and the sun begins to glow, (make large circle with arms)
Little flowers begin to bud; (cup hands together)
and grow and grow and grow. (spread hands apart slowly)
Rain on the Grass

Rain on the green grass
(wiggle fingers down to floor and out wide)
And rain on the trees
(wiggle fingers up and over head)
Rain on the housetop,
(Make an upside-down "V" with hands)
But NOT on me.
(arms over head to make an umbrella)
It is Raining
Sing to tune of "Where is Thumbkin?"

It is raining, it is raining,
On my head, on my head.
Pitter, patter raindrops,
Pitter, patter raindrops,
I'm all wet, I'm all wet!
Counting Puddles

One puddle, two puddles made by the rain.
Three puddles, four puddles, down in the lane.
Five puddles, six puddles we can wade through.
Seven puddles, eight puddles quite muddy, too!
Nine puddles, ten puddles covering tiny roots
Eleven puddles, twelve puddles - we all need our boots!

Pitter-Pat

Pitter-pat, pitter-pat
(drum fingers on the floor)
The rain goes on for hours
And though it keeps me in the house
It's very
(hold out two fists, palms up)
Good For
(open fists)
Flowers
(raise and turn hands upwards)
April Showers
Sing to tune of  "The Farmer in the Dell"

Dark clouds gather outside,
The wind begins blow,
A raindrop falls and then another --
April showers!
I am not afraid.
The rain is very good.
It softens the earth and helps the plants
Make May flowers.
Pitter-Patter Raindrops

Pitter-patter raindrops
Falling from the sky
Here is my umbrella
To keep me safe and dry
When the rain is over
The sun begins to glow
Little flowers start to bud
And grow and grow and grow
