Seussical Fish

National Read Across America Day will be observed on March 2!

March 2 is Dr. Seuss’s birthday and in honor of his birthday spend your day celebrating reading! Have an un-Birthday party for Dr. Seuss!

Activity:  

Seussical Fish (One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish)

School-Age

Materials: 

• White paper- cardstock, construction paper, or water color paper
  
• watercolors and paint brush
  
• fine tip permanent marker such as a Sharpie
  
• glue or tape
• One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish by Dr Seuss (available from Amazon -  see below)
  

Seussical Fish

Procedure: 

On a half sheet of paper draw a Seussical style fish in permanent marker. Paint fish with watercolors and cut out on the outside of marker lines. On a full sheet of paper paint lines with watercolors. After paint has dried, glue or tape fish to the middle of the full sheet of painted paper.
