Winter Songs, Poems, and Action Rhymes

5 Little Snowflakes
by Debbie Hasbrook

1 little snowflake dancing resting on my nose,
2 little snowflakes sitting on my toes,
3 little snowflakes landed on my hat,
4 little snowflakes on my shoulder safely sat.
5 little snowflakes dancing in the breeze.
I need to go inside now, before I start to freeze. (Brrrr)
Little Snow Girl
by Debbie Hasbrook

I have a little snow girl in my back yard,
My Daddy helped me make her, it wasn’t very hard.
We rolled and patted and set her up so tall,
We had to be careful, so her pieces wouldn’t fall.

Each day after breakfast I run outside to see,
It she is still standing underneath my maple tree.
When it begins to warm and we have sunny days,
I’m afraid that my new playmate will slowly melt away.
On a Frosting Morning
by Debbie Hasbrook

Dancing, dancing round the snowman,
Dancing, dancing round the snowman,
Dancing, dancing round the snowman.
Dancing, dancing round the snowman,
On a frosty morning.

Hopping, hopping, round the snowman,
Hopping, hopping, round the snowman,
Hopping, hopping, round the snowman,
Hopping, hopping, round the snowman,
On a frosty morning.

Skipping, skipping, round the snowman,
Skipping, skipping, round the snowman,
Skipping, skipping, round the snowman,
Skipping, skipping, round the snowman.
On a frosty morning.
Winter me this, Winter me that
by Debbie Hasbrook

Winter me this, Winter me that,
Why do frost shapes look like that?

Winter me this, winter me that,
When it’s cold outside, what is the best hat?

Winter me this, winter me that,
Why does my breath steam up like that?

Winter me this, winter me that,
Bears hibernate in what habitat?

Winter me this, winter me that,
When sun comes out why do snowmen go splat (flat)
Walking in the Forest
by Debbie Hasbrook
(To down by the station)

Walking in the forest on a chilly day,
Beneath the cloudy skies, I went along my way.
I’m glad I wore my mittens, and boots to warm my toes,
When the snow began to fall and on landed on my nose!
