Apples Songs, Poems and Action Rhymes

Found an Apple
Sing to tune of "Clementine"
author unknown

Found an apple, found an apple,
Found an apple big and round.
It was red and oh, so juicy
When I found it on the ground.
Found an apple, found an apple,
Found it growing on a tree.
Now I'll pick it and I'll share it,
Half for you and half for me.

Author unknown
Cut an apple in half to illustrate the second verse of the song. If you wish, continue cutting to make four fourths.

The Apple and the Worm
author unknown

I bit an apple
That had a worm.
I swallowed the apple,
I swallowed the worm.
I felt it squiggle,
I felt it squirm.
I felt it wiggle,
I felt it turn.
It felt so slippery,
Slimy, scummy,
I felt it land - PLOP -
In my tummy!
I guess that worm is there to stay
Unless . . .
I swallow a bird some day!

Apples, Apples
Sing to tune of "Twinkle, Twinkle"
author unknown

Apples juicy, apples round,
On the tree or on the ground.
Apples yellow, apples red,
Apple pie and juice and bread!
Apples crunchy, apples sweet,
Apples are so good to eat!

Apple
Sing to tune of "BINGO"
author unknown

I know a fruit that grows on trees,
An apple is its name, oh!

Apples
author unknown

Apples in the attic,
Apples in the hall.
Apples in the summer,
Apples in the fall.
Apples make you healthy.
Apples make you tall.
I will eat some apples.
I will eat them all.

A Little Apple Seed
Sing to tune of "Itsy, Bitsy Spider"
author unknown

Once a little appleseed was planted in the ground
Down came the raindrops, falling all around.
Out came the big sun, bright as bright could be
And that little apple seed grew to be an apple tree!

Five Red Apples
author unknown

Five red apples hanging in a tree (Hold up five fingers)
The juiciest apples you ever did see.
The wind came by and gave an angry frown (Fingers flutter downward)
And one little apple came tumbling down (lower one finger)
Four red apples, hanging in a tree, (Hold up four fingers)……ect.

Five little apples hung on a tree
The farmer didn't care
So guess who came to eat?
A CATERPILLAR.......MUNCH, MUNCH

Four little apples hung on a tree
The farmer didn't care
So guess who came to eat?
A BIRD.........MUNCH, MUNCH

Three little apples hung on a tree
The farmer didn't care
So guess who came to eat?
A PIG..........MUNCH, MUNCH

Two little apples hung on a tree
The farmer didn't care
So guess who came to eat?
A HORSE.......MUNCH, MUNCH

One little apple hung on a tree
The farmer didn't care
So guess who came to eat?
A SCARECROW......MUNCH, MUNCH

Now the tree is bare
There are no more apples there
But when next fall comes around
Guess who'll be there?
THE CATERPILLAR
THE BIRD
THE PIG
THE HORSE
and the SCARECROW
YUM!YUM
