Basic Paint Recipe:
  • Equal parts of:  Water, Salt, & Flour
  • Mix salt and flour together, breaking up all lumps.
  • Stir in water.
  • Mixture will be very thick.
  • Dilute with additional water to desired thickness if you are not adding any other liquid ingredients.
  • Keep thicker for finger painting and thinner for painting with a brush.
Add the following ingredients to ¼ cup of basic paint mixture. 
Add additional water as needed.
Hot Cocoa Paint:
  • 1 Tablespoon unsweetened baking cocoa
  • 1 Tablespoon vanilla extract
Peppermint Paint:
  • 2-3 teaspoons peppermint extract
  • 4-6 drops red food coloring
Sugar Cookies Paint:
  • 1 Tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ teaspoons almond extract
Gingerbread Cookies Paint:
  • 1 Tablespoon ginger powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon all-spice
Shimmery Snow Paint:
  • blue & silver glitter
Sugarplum Purple Paint:
  • 8-10 drops red food coloring
  • 3-5 drops blue food coloring
  • silver or purple glitter 
Winter Blue Paint:
  • 6-10 drops blue food coloring
  • silver and blue glitter
Pine Tree Green Paint:
  • 8-10 drops green food coloring
  • 2-3 drops blue food coloring
  • green glitter
