Christmas Shaving Cream Sensory Bin

- a) Sight, sound, smell, taste and touch experiences are encouraged through a variety of developmentally appropriate materials and activities

Materials:

Procedure:

Create the colored ice cubes that will go into the sensory bin by adding a few drops of food coloring to water in an ice cube tray.
Place in the freezer until hard.
Fill the large plastic bin with shaving cream and add the colored ice cubes.
Place in the bin in an appropriate are for sensory play and encourage the children to explore.

Assessment:

Observe and record the children’s reaction to the different textures. Also, record how they played with other children. Be sure to write down any dialog the children had during the activity.
