Activity: Leaf Musical Shaker
Lesson plan developed by Ms. Erika Geelhoed, BA Ed
* Lesson plan objective and assessment can be adapted to use this activity with mobile infants or toddlers.
Prepare for the activity by creating the music shaker. Fill the water bottle with leaves, and small bells. Hot glue the lid onto the bottle to prevent the items from coming out. Hot glue the fabric leaves onto the outside of the bottle and allow it to cool. Introduce the music shaker to the infant. Allow them to explore the textures of the leaves as well as how to make music until they lose interest.
