Each week I'll give you 2 to 3 (sometimes more!) activities, books, crafts, or songs that you can do with each letter! This week is the letter H! Items that could go in a H Mystery box! hammer hanger harmonica hat hay heart helicopter hippopotamus honey horse hot dog Heart H's Materials Needed: Toilet paper roll Red paint White paper Paint tray H's cut from card stock (or thick paper) Directions: Crease the toilet paper roll into a heart shape. Pour the paint on the paint tray. Pass out H's to each child (or have a helper pass them out for you) Allow the children to stamp heart shapes all over their H's H-I-P-P-O Here's an animal you should know, H-I-P-P-O. She eats a lot of vegetables, H-I-P-P-O. She's very big, her skin is gray, She likes to swim in the water all day, Here's an animal you should know, H-I-P-P-O. Hula Hoop Toss Materials Needed: Paper plates Markers Hula hoop Directions: Pass each child a paper plate. Allow them to decorate their plates however they wish with the markers. Place the hula hoop on the ground (inside or outside). Allow the children to toss their paper plates into the hula hoop.
